For the second time in my ownership of this engine I had to spend almost a whole day getting the ******ing inlet manifold to fit properly. Fresh head skims and standard thickness gaskets (I used the thick ones last time) meant the inlet manifold just didn't fit well so yet again had to spend hours with engineers blue and a bearing scraper set. I lost count of how many times it went in and out being trial fitted, but I kept going until the bolts were easy to get in by hand and it hardly needed any tightening to trap a 0.002" feeler blade under the gaskets with only a light bit of pressure from the fixing bolts.
    Looks really nice, well done

It's good to hear about someone else using proper engineering to resolve a problem. Nice work!

Picked up the Stag from Equinox Custom Interiors in Bristol last weekend after having all the interior done. I'm beyond pleased, the work is excellent. So nice to have a really good job done for once. I chose this place after seeing pictures of Edds seats which they'd done, and I'm not disappointed. I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Everything is made from scratch to get the best possible fit. The other plus point is they worked exactly to schedule. They quoted 4 weeks and it was ready on time.

Still got got a bit of bright work to fit, and the rest of the dashboard wood once that's been sorted out, but a major transformation nonetheless.

That sets the car off nicely - is the colour black or a dark grey hard to tell on the photo -

It's black, but was taken in bright sun so looks grey. To control costs I've gone for leather on the seat faces and a matching print vinyl for the sides and back.
