Wow! Were you guys waiting for the question???

The posted instruction is great. SOC Mag scan would also be great. I'll be at that stage soon.

The "problem" seal I'm doing at the moment is the channel seal for the quarterlight glass in the quarterlight frame

    Cheers

Bob. I have been told by Carl that Mike Allen and Mike Webb are actually the same person.

I can now conclude this affair I believe:

Just fitted the LH window frame in the door with the rubber channel installed like I wrote above (both lips tucked under the metal flanges), seal and window edge with a light smear of silicone grease. Hooked up the window winder and it works like a dream. Perfectly smooth without any protesting from the motor and well sealed by the new channel rubbers.

Thanks for all the interest and infos!

Hi All. Sorry to join on this one. However I find that having got my car from our local body shop, a number of issues have come to light.
Firstly, the horizontal rubber weather strip attached to the new door skin is knackered and needs to be replaced.
Secondly, the rubber seals on the hood now have a huge gap when the hood I'd up. The front left rubber strip seems shorter than the other side.
Thirdly, the left hand window frame now leaves a gap just above the quarter light. Water will certainly give my passenger a damp trip in the event of rain.
I suspect I am going to have to remove the inner door card and firstly adjust the position of the window frame. I will also need to replace aforementioned seals. Can someone send me an idiots guide as to how to these jobs? I don't wish to spoil the beautiful new paintwork.
                        Thanks
                        Nigel

My window seals are shot, I have ordered the SOCTF seals from Robsport. Can I fit the seal with the window in place? Any other tips would be welcome. Thanks.
                          Steve.
