My son and I went for a 170 mile round trip in our Stag to Llandudno and the beach at Penmaenmawr. The outward run was via Ruthin and Denbigh. Given the superb weather I was suprised to only see four other classics out on the road. It sounded well going up the Great Orme!
The stag has developed a loud whistling noise from the engine which appears to be engine speed related. Would an air leak on the carbs/ air filter elbows create a noise like that?

Spotted the rechromed overrider I fitted recently has its date of rechroming marked on it in white pen - oops, need to remove that.
Used it this weekend for a few jaunts - exhaust now blowing a bit so I'll get that sorted.
Fitted hardtop ready for move to new garaging. Hmm more on hardtop in separate post!

Been a busy few days.
MOT on Friday, pass no advisories, then yesterday fitted the modified circuit to give the coil a full 12V while cranking with the new Wosp starter motor I fitted a couple of weeks ago.
Pleased to say the click nothing appears to be abolished for good with the starter.
Today cleaned and polished from top to bottom, I'm taking and giving by sister away at her wedding next Saturday, and as my Stag has been in our lives for the last 31 years, she wants to arrive in it, as the wedding is outside. Hope weather is going to be okay!Mike.

Just got back from a 10 day, 2,800 mile trip to the Black Hills in Sth Dakota. Stag ran fantastic. Just lost a bolt for the soft-top lock and had to keep the top up, oh well, not bad considering we nearly lost a wheel on the last long trip. The MGB did lose a wheel however...luckily everyone is safe and the front end was rebuilt by the guys on the trip. Wire wheel folks - check the splines!!!
