    MK 1 door handles

Hi all, can anyone help I have a set of mk1 door handles. Can anything be done to them to fit a mk 11. The mk1 I bought from a friend and are perfect (chrome and black cups). New parts 003.JPG

    Many thanks

If you look at the mk2 door handle post, you need to drill another hole in the post, look at your old handle so you can see how far down the post you need to drill,

    Hope that helps Dave

Dave, it seems from this pic that the second hole for Mk2 is in thin air on a Mk1 short post door handle:

    Mk 2 mechanism won't fit a mk1 casting.

So in order to use them the mk1 mechanism must be retained & used.

Not sure if that is possible though.

Thought about it some more....pm sent

I tried to fit mk1 handles to a mk2, ended up buying mk2 handles.

    Hi Derek,

I have had many enquiries about the handles. I would not sell them as we agread. I have been talking to Julian about converting them. The ones on my new Stag don't look too good. We hope to see you at the National for a drink or three.
