I have just stripped my rear brakes because of a sudden deterioration of the handbrake, and the appearance of a lot of brake dust on the nearside rear wheel.
The automatic adjuster has “fell apart” and the smaller part, the Clevis pin and the little spring attached have all been rolling around in the drum. Obviously they have been grinding against the hub at some point, so the spring and the small toothed adjuster are too damaged to re-fit.
LD are currently out of stock, I know others have them but I prefer SOCTFL replacements, but would like to rectify for Drive it Day. Anyone got a spare, or SOCTFL set that I could buy, beg, borrow and/or replace once LD have them in stock? Offside is fine, although I am going to fit new shoes at the same time.
Parts required are the Small toothed adjuster, clevis pin and washers/clip and the spring for the nearside (believe they are handed) , arrowed in a photo “borrowed” from Julian Leytons old post. Thx.
