if I remember correctly the lead loading was not effected by the 2nd dip, I think the heating up process to remove the paint in the first dip melted the lead.
Thanks Paul, I have noticed on mine that the lead that was already on the car has been effected by the first dip, potentially the second dip is a quicker dip or in a weaker acid perhaps,
After being let down by a local upholstery guy, finally I have got the ball rolling. I contacted summers upholstery in Malvern thanks to Kev 100 I should have done it in January…

I have stripped them and will get them bead blasted and powder coated. Hopefully this will be done by the time the foams etc arrive.

I will take the seat frames with the materials to Steve as soon as I have them all. He said he will fit them in between jobs. Hopefully me stripping and getting them powder coated will help.
I dropped the seat frames off to the powder coating company yesterday, hopefully they will be completed early next week. Will post pictures of the result.
Will be intesting when you put it back to gather, take lots of photos etc, as may do mine, mine were re foamed by a trimmer up here but never been happy with them and they cost a lot of money
