Why is it…. A quick and easy job turns into a mornings work.
yesterday I fitted the T bar, when admiring the finished job I realised the top trim to the windscreen frame should have been fitted first aaaarg!!!
The hunt for these 3 trims was the first task followed by over an hour removing the glue from the back of the top one, this was done by rubbing my thumb over the glue creating friction and rolling it off my thumb is still sore today. Masking the surrounding area I spray glued and fitted the trim

Does anyone know if the black plastic trims that sit on the bottom edge of the S/s B post covers are available ?
I had a rubber seal for another job that I Have fitted temporarily for now.

Thanks Sujitroy, I have looked on their website but cannot find a listing. SOC spares show them but are out of stock.
I managed to find one of the original ones, my car had paintwork done to it before I got it and the beading has orbital sanding marks over it.
might be possible to use it for 3D printing though if I can’t find new ones out there!!

When I got to that detail I discovered that the bodyshop had taken those trims off and 'stored' them safely. So safely that no-one knew where, so I had to buy replacements.

Mole 42 where did you purchase them from?

A friend’s daughter wants to use it for her wedding car, that is on the 21st September so it needs to be done by then. I pick the seats up at the end of June and hopefully the rest of the interior will be done so that will be the interior complete.
                  Should be complete July/August

Tony White or RobSport - I don't recall exactly but they were not new - the new ones are just a piece of vinyl and don't look right

Aaah thanks tony, 2nd hand may be the route unless any can be 3D printed.

Thank you Glyn, it’s been a long journey and yes I am so looking forward to that first drive in it in over 30 years!!!!!

I managed to complete the B post covers yesterday, each job done is a step closer to that first drive.
hoping to do a bit more today.

Well done! It seems a long haul to get the final bits done, but that first drive makes it all worth it! I've clocked up about 500 miles now since mine got back on the road, lots of things still to do but when I'm driving along everything seems worthwhile.

The final bits all seem to be time consuming, I thought I would fit the door panels then realising I still had to fit the door lock mechanisms. I am getting there!

Yesterday I fitted the passenger door lock mechanism which meant I could fit the door panel.
                                here is the new panel.
