Really interesting stuff, the history of the Stag fascinates me and I must own up to the desire to own a very early one at some point...

I would be fascinated to see the film too...

This link http://www.stagbytriumph.co.uk/publi...ange70-02.html points to a 1970 Triumph colour range brochure showing that sienna with black or tan interior was available then.

Quite possible Mark. BL records were on a par with their quality control so anything's possible

    Hi Sukh
The colour looks like Sienna Brown, with a nice shine, them wire wheels and to finish off would be some red cruise lamps on the quarter panels in place of the stag badges, looks like it has Mk2 head(s) which is a shame on the originality front but nice car none the less.

Dave This may have been popped on the line to test the system but I have a film of the press cars being static built (2 Years In The Life). Are you out there Jelly ? You know the answer to this.

The James Bond Collection in Keswick which included the James Bond Stag has been sold and the whole collection shipped out to Florida

Dave Well, Bugger Me. I spoke to the owner a year ago when a pic. appeared on the back of the mag - he had only just bought the car back from USA. Anyone in the USA monitoring this ? Any news ??

Interesting that you say it was found in Bedfordshire.

Pete Can't remember exactly where it was, it was reported in a Club magazine in the mid eighties when Kip (Berkeley Herring) was running the area but I'm not going to search through the mags this evening. Sounds like the connection though as the person who had it didn't realise the significance when he bought it and it was on a different plate at the time (not RRW 97H)..

    Thanks for the feedback chaps

I can confirm, the James Bond Stag LD14 is now in Florida. Photo evidence is here! http://www.downtownmiaminews.com/mia...hen-some/4233/ It is just over half way down the page.

(I 'follow' the collection on facebook and they have just announced the James Bond Exhibition so I had a dig around to see if I could find it.)

Fascinating stuff Dave and Peter - thankyou.

Is there anywhere I can see or obtain the film/video to which you both refer ?

Julian Dave is the one who found it all out. I just use the information to impress people now and again - bit of a poseur I reckon.

The film ......... which film ??? sssshhhhhhh Big Brother may be watching.

Unfortunately my DVD copy doesn't read in the player - Dave has a Betamax copy if that's any use to you - what do you expect from a Stag owner ? VHS ??

I'll see what I can do

    All the best

    Peter

PS I'll reply to your PM later Dave - it may take a while but I'll do it sometime over Christmas (maybe)

I had a look at all the Stags on Cherished's website I have to say they all looked to be very good quality. My choice would be the 74 MOD. The 73 one in primer has an eye popping interior! The green one was quite striking too but the door cappings look like they were made for a different car.

Me too. It would make a great addition to the members area of the main club site.

I remember Kip, only met him a couple of times as I wasn't really into the local club scene back then - must have been too young . Probably means that I have the magazine you refer to though.

Like Julian I would also be really interested in seeing the 2 Years In The Life film if it is possible.
