Hi All.
Is there anyone around the Wiltshire area who could check and balance my carbs??
I just got ripped off at a local garage for 60 quid for nothing and when I picked the car up I broke down less than half a mile up the road on a very busy roundabout thankfully someone helped me push the car to safety. When i looked under the bonnet as it would not refire I spotted 3 plug leads were fitted in the wrong place and I think the the coil burnt out. I replaced coil etc and car started and I got home!!!
However despite fitting new plugs and leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm etc it still seems to run very rich . As itstruggles at low revs before picking up speed once at 40 plus very smooth but drinking fuel although there are no fuel leaks.
I tried the SU specialiats in Salisbury who said my jest need adjusting and they recommended a place but they cannot fit me in until the 4th of August so is there anyone else out there??
I would do it myselfasI was going to buy the carb balancer tool but I was told to wait via anotherpost and also I don't have the jet tool to adjust with either so any help would be welcome
With regards,
Paul
