The Commision Number on the door pillar plate. The ones under the bonnet should be of no interest to DVLA or MOT tester.

This often happens. The testers sometimes dont input all the VIN code. Sometimes they just put in the number without the letters. Very annoying.

Hi HS, good to meet you at the NEC.

I, as well as others, have had all sorts of hassle with the DVLA about the suffix letter 'O' on Overdrive models.

I have eventually had to give in to bureaucracy and accept that they add on a number '0' instead of the correct letter 'O'

Hello HS,

Welcome to the mess that is the DVLA, my saga continues... After discovering my chassis number had been altered at the point where MOTs changed from hand written to computerised, exactly as yours, to the number on the small plate under the bonnet. I visited my local licensing office (be quick, they are all closing), there to find a most helpful gentleman who knew all about Stags and the plates under the bonnet, he could see immediately what had happened. All details were taken and sent off, I waited, and a few weeks later my new V5 arrived, identical to the original one. I visited the office again, the lady sighed wearily as I explained. They’ve sent it off again and I wait.

As Dave says, it’s the one on the door pillar you need.
