    New Clutch Time

Earlier this week I took the Stag on its first roof down trip of the year.
Drove and sounded beautifully but, on this and a previous outing, I sensed that the clutch operation to be a little vague with a slight judder when starting in 1st from standstill.
Close to the end of my 100 mile trip, the clutch began to show signs of slipping under load so I nursed the car the last 20 miles home.
The Stag has only covered 34k miles from new and had been stood for 20+ years prior to my buying her 3 years and 9k miles ago.
My driving style is clutch friendly, I don't use the pedal as a foot rest or slip the clutch to hold on a hill in lieu of handbrake.

I suspect oil contamination from either or both of the oil seals in the bell housing and have bought new seals together with gaskets and Paddock's improved clutch replacement kit.

Is there any advice you can please offer to enhance the repair manual instructions and/or make the task easier and more successful?

I plan to tackle the job next Wednesday.

    Thanks in advance.
    Wishing you a happy Easter.
    Steve
