For the first two years of its life, my 1974-reg Stag was serviced by the supplying dealer, Berkeley Square Garages Ltd (it was a company car), but for its 24,000 mile service, when it was three years old, it was sent to the BL facility in Western Avenue, London W3. (The release note from there is in the back of the Passport to Service book.) After that, through to the end of the Passport at 45,000 miles (this was in 1981), it was serviced at the TR Workshop, Lexham Mews, London W8.
What I would like to know is if there might be any special significance in the car having its second major service at Western Avenue rather than having the service at a local dealer? Was it used, for example, mainly for major mechanical repairs? And are the records of BL's Western Road facility archived anywhere?
