Actually yesterday, but set about washing the Stag. Hoping to get out on the road Friday, now the salt has washed away..
Did anyone catch Johnnie Walker's sounds of the 70's on Sunday, he had a request from someone in a shed with a Stag with a poorly engine? You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Spent the last few days upgrading the headlights using the Wards wiring. The outer light units I had(think from Tony Hart a few years ago) had fittings for pilot lights so have rigged those up for LED running lights with bulbs from Bettercarlighting. Now people can see me coming & I can see where I'm going . Yet to test on the road yet-waiting for the snow & salt to go.

Drove down to and then around Essex yesterday (Saturday), on a familiarisation run with my co-drivers. We’ve entered the RBRR this October. We needed to work out how three big lads would fit into a Stag for two continuous days running. Stag ran faultlessly for the 160 odd miles racked up, except with a passenger in the back the rear mud flaps catch on the ground when you pull away.
option 1 - progressive rear springs
option 2 - take the mud flaps off
Any advice on the progressive rear springs? I know TH and Monarch both list them, are they different or from the same source?Chris

My Monarch ones look quite different to the TH ones that I have seen advertised..
I have used rubber spring assisters in the past to stop my old springs letting the rear end sag when towing a caravan.

The flaps rub less these days though, they are a little shorter than they were and I've taught myself to use less throttle when setting off !Last edited by mole42; 12 March 2018, 13:57.Richard

I had a great morning changing over one side of my shocks. I'm replacing my spax nitro gas to standard.
All of my powder coated parts are in excellent order and cleaned up lovely as did the inside of the wheel arch. Im glad I went painted now as it's so nice to clean up.
not touched it in two years.
other side tom night then hopefully not such a harsh ride.
