I am amazed to see the large range of Mintex brake pads suitable for the Stag, being offered for sale on Ebay by a Mintex "Specialist".
And there was I thinking there is only one type.
What a wonderful thing the internet is.

They are by far the best I've used, someone fitted some cheap ones on my last 'free' service and they are quite useless!

Just fitted Willwood calipers with Mintex 1144 pads, these were the most expensive ones available and only by mail order . On speaking to a friend who does a lot of track days in a Lotus, he says he stopped using 1144 as they were too soft and he only got 3 meetings from a set, although they did not wear out the discs. He did say though that they would slow you down from 130mph to 30mph in 4secs. But I think mine will last a little longer, just have to keep an eye on them.

Perhaps I didn't explain myself properly. There are several different types/shapes of brake pad on there, all claimed to fit the Stag, but none of them do.
I would have expected a "Specialist" to know there is only one design that fits.

I ave Mintex 1144 pads on my standard brakes. Great bite from cold and confidence inspiring, unlike my earlier pads.
Not checked for wear but judging by the amount of brake dust deposited. I would not expect it to be excessive.
