It is interesting to note that the hard top weighs 97lb (44kg) with glass and trim. This question has been asked many times, with only guesstimates supplied. Can the rest of the article be published on here or some of the relevant figures posted in the Technical Section?

Klaus, as I got the article from you, are you ok that I upload a pdf of it in the technical section?

Interesting they stress that the car is white - are these stronger than the exotic colours?
White 1976 build ("Mk2") only a few mods

I didn't think we'd get past 19 posts without that pic when I first saw the title!

I was very tempted to post it in #13

Drew feel free to upload the article, no objections from my side. Preferably in the Technical Section. It is really a phantastic source of Stag technique and development history.
Concerning the translation: just the second half of the article (body and structure) as I have already translated and published the first part (engine etc.) years ago in our TSCD mag when I was the editor.

              Klaus.

BTW. if the T-bar on your Stag is srewed to the frame above the windscreen with the vinyl inbetween you loose a bit of the torsional stiffness. Better to cut the vinyl out around the bolts.

Weird! That post has only just appeared for me. I even read post 23 which was eMailed to me as the immediate latest post after my post 21! Strange! Anyway - understood and will do it right now!

Just about got my Stag back together but a local builder took out the power line for the village today and the electric (including lights in the garage!) has only just come back on!

Thanks Klaus the artikel gives more understanding how the bodyshell is constructed. I like it how the subject changes in something technical.
