    Big Bore 44 Weber?

Has anyone had any experience with the Big Bore 44 Weber conversion from Stagweber?

No but I would like to see comparative rolling road test results showing power and torque measurements between it and properly tuned Strombergs. All other performance claims are meaningless words.
    Quoting the suppliers website:
“This conversion has been road tested on a standard Stag engine fitted with a stainless
steel tubular manifold, and the results have shown that it is very smooth and responsive,
and producing exceptional torque and acceleration right up to the red line rev limit.

Heres what a customer said: 'So, mine is on coupled with tubular manifolds and the performance is fabulous. Had to ditch the a/c, but it's worth it'.

Notes: Throttle linkage, bracket and cable are included, as suitable for manual gearbox. If the linkage/bracket for the auto gearbox/kickdown cable are required (to special order) please enquire. Further tests are being planned to check fuelling over the full range of engine loads and speeds.”

There is no choke fitted on this performance model, but starting enrichment is provided by the throttle pump jet.”
That’s fine on a manual, couple of pumps of the accelerator to start and blip the accelerator to keep it running until it warms up. Not so easy on an automatic as you have to keep knocking it out of drive to keep engine running, hardly ideal and some may say dangerous.

    Your call.
