I made one years ago for a lotus cortina I had and used to throw around as a youngster, it's surprising the difference it made, but as I don't throw the stag about I won't treat it to one. 3/16 plate on the strut tops bent up at 90 deg to allow the centre cross bar to be unbolted.

I made one for mine. Has made the front end far sharper. The Mcpherson strut suspension set up benerfits the most from a brace. It transmits the load and bearing so the front works better.

How did you fit your strut brace ? From strut top to strut top or via the bulk head
The Monarch one was bolted across the struts and diagonally to the bulkhead at the point where the bonnet catch is mounted.
That's how I want to do mine, I measured the distance from the back of the engine to bulk head, and there's room,I've got a strut brace from a Saab that I'll use as a template
If you were to measure the distance between the top mounts of the front suspension when the car is on the ground and then again with axle stands, you would be surprised what a difference. These stop the unwanted flex in the car while the suspension is being loaded and unloaded.
Make your own as all t he Stags are slightly different even more so now there all over 40.

Just looked at your pictures again and noticed youve done away with the stanard bonnet catch ,not that youve got much room left
