Some good bargains but this in particular is a great deal (IMHO) I have had one for about 5 years and it just works

I come from a Commercial Truck background and many of the mechanics now prefer to use the Halfords Advanced or Professional products, sometimes the fastening trying to be removed is very obstinate, but must be removed or the job stops and if in trying the tool breaks, then that's too bad.
If you walk through the workshop you'll see all different makes off toolboxes and their tools in use, Snap on, Brit tool, King Dick etc etc, the mechanics buy them and break them all with abandon, if the part needs to come off...it comes off. The Snap On visiting dealer comes every Thursday, if he agrees it's a warranty (sometimes picky) and he has another on the van then you get it replaced then and there, otherwise it's possibly another couple of days whilst he gets it replaced by the depot and delivers it in. Ditto the other makes.
The Halfords ranges we are talking about are very well priced but above all...they are available within about 30 minutes during a 9am to 7pm spread daily, (including Saturdays ) we worked until 5pm) and Sundays 10 until 4pm) the parts department sends out a parts van with tool receipt (every mechanic keeps his own) to the local Halfords store who will willingly break into complete toolsets and issue the parts from there, replacing their stock from their own depots. This compares very favourably with the "premium" makes mentioned above, and this progressive policy is changing the buying habits of many professional mechanics.

Looks a very comprehensive set, although I don't think you'd ever use all of them.Last year I treated myself to a 3/8 Draper socket set which was £36.99 and contains a great selection of both Metric and A/F comprising of 40 pieces. Since I bought my Stag I've had to hunt for A/F stuff as most tool shops don't stock them anymore.
Re the Halfords set, though would anybody really have paid the full price of £370 for this??
