I have acquired a 1972 stag, powered by a rover V8, with a recently installed triumph gearbox. This has been installed incorrectly - the transmission whines on depression of the clutch pedal. It feels as if the clutch plate is not moving enough: there is a spacer between the slave cylinder and the gearbox housing. Should there be a spacer and if so how long should it be? The car pulls well and there is no slippage
Grateful for any advice and ideas, thx
