Stags and Range Rover Classics - I must be a loony

Yes indeed, I've been following the episodes leading up to this one - the quality of the restoration is high and the finished product looks good. I'm glad they've not burnt their boats in terms of the option to restore the original drivetrain if anyone wants to do that in the future.

Not to be narrow minded but just why would anyone contemplate such a daft idea......?

He explains quite clearly why he wanted to do it. His car, his choice. I'd be happy with it in my garage, alongside mine with its original engine, of course.

Mind you, it would be interesting to see which one I drove most.

isn't that actually being narrow minded?

Interesting! I wonder if that improves the sweep for a RHD car?

I'm not sure. LHD Stags don't use the same position for the wipers. [You have to move the holes if converting to RHD].

What a great effort and another option to help keep a stag on the road more often rather than sitting in a garage most of its life.

Whether a stag has a TV8, Rover V8, Ford V6, GM V8 or in fact an EV, it is still a stag as it drives down the road being admired by those who used to see them often in the 70s or by a new generation who will ask what car was that!

Anything that gets stags being used more often rather than only going out when the weather and traffic is suitable is a good thing for the marque.

When they develop EVs with non lithium batteries then we will see conversion kits for all sorts of classics...........lithium is too much a fire risk.
