    Battery Isolator and battery charger

A while back I asked a question on battery drain and I fitted a new battery, I also bought a battery isolator (the green knurled knob type). Could any one advise whether I can just attach the battery charger crocodile clips direct to the connections rather than removing the cable terminals, i.e do I need to remove the positive and negative from the battery to charge.

I don't and it's done no harm so far in nearly 8 years.

It depends on your battery charger. Mine drops to a trickle charge once the battery is fully charged. It does if the battery is isolated from the car, it doesn't if the cables are still connected. I suspect a small drain from the radio, but haven't bothered to investigate.
