Wanted - fitting kit for Radiomobile 70X

Just bought one and my car has just the hole...no brackets or fascia / fixing plate.

If no one has anything suitable do you reckon an ICE place will have be able to supply something to butcher?

Ian you need the fascia plate Robsport do,clips into the hole,your radio should slot straight into this,it also covers up any butchering within 6 or 7mm of your existing wood trim.

Turbineman - Thanks. I had a look at the site. Looks like you need the "cage" though as well.

Nick - That link didn't take me anywhere I Googled Spitfire Graveyard and found this for £15 ... "Very rare uncut blanking plate for radio Mk4 £15.00 " Was that it?

Mark - Is Robsport where yours is from? Does it need any other fixing / cage?

Hi Ian,no fixing cage used with it.

Whatever you choose dont forget to feed your wires through before wiring up your radio.

Radios of that era didn't have a cage like modern radios do, they were fixed/held to the fixing plate via the control shafts and occaisionally had a support bracket fixed to the back.
