Cheers Steve, the Mk1 has a blanking plug, I intend to use it to connect the heads together. If you ( or no-one else) don't have a MK1 one I'd be grateful for whatever you do have because I could get it tapped at my leisure.

I can loan you a Mk2 transfer housing that you can work on and swap them over when you are ready if it's any help Kev, it needs a 1/2" BSP thread.
