Brake Servo / Master Cylinder needed

I need the use of a working Brake Master cylinder and Servo for a few months while my Dunlop one (mine is one of the 4x4 cars) has some new bits made for it to make it well again. As this may take some time - I don't want to keep the car off the road while this is ongoing.
I won't be able to test out the newly made brake discs I've just shelled out for either if I can't get it back on the road!
So - need to (ideally) borrow - or buy cheap - a known working pair.
    Any offers?

    Many thanks in advance.

      Hi Dave,

The front hubs will have to be completely different as they have to get drive to the front wheels. I guess this will also have a knock on effect to the disks as well.

I'm really sorry mate, but I can't help. Have you thought of contacting Mike Allen ? It's such an important car I think the club could step in and help in some way. Good luck, Martin.

          Adrian,

I will have a look in my spares box which I think has a servo and mc in it. Haven't had them fitted but I'm only in Wargrave (down 404 then A4 for about 5 miles) and, if it helps, you're welcome to borrow it. If that doesn't work (or I can'f find it) we could look at taking the serviceable one off my resto car. It's got no engine at th emoment and needs some welding and suspension work so if necessary I'm sure I can cope without it for a couple of months or so and you can borrow that. I'm around Sunday - I'll PM you my number.

Thanks everyone for your contributions. Since this is the only Stag I've ever owned - there are a number of things that I know are different to normal - though what "normal" is I have no reference to work from! My discs are HFR (Harry Ferguson Research" ones - to fit their own fabricated and custom hubs. Still uses standard Stag calipers and pads though (at least one part not made from Unobtanium). The servo saga gets worse day by day - though the people who made the discs for (I think) a VERY reasonable £300 a pair inc VAT and delivery are now on the case for making the replacement for the broken piece of Bakelite. The servo rebuilders who know Jaguar and Jensen Dunlop servos have never seen one like mine before. Oh joy.
New part will be in aluminium which will be anodised to make it durable - it will outlast me I expect. It's not that big, but the devil is in the sheer detail which has to be right or it won't work. I've been warned that "it won't be cheap"...........

All respect to you, for putting so much into that wonderful car ! At the next National, pass the hat round, or ask for contributions towards a repair fund, if it could be done for the Vulcan, it can be done for you ! Martin.
