By all means use the threads to ask questions to clarify the item itself, ask where it is, etc., or even to make offers.

Bad behaviour here would be to discuss the merits of the item concerned, to offer opinions on the asking price, or to propose alternatives to items for sale, and any such posts may be deleted.

Drew, when you have sold the item can you delete the advert or is it simply closing the post? Thanks

Most people just write "now sold" and either leave it at that or close the thread. Both are fine.
