Emission Control Hose from Carbon Canister to Anti-Run On Valve

    Hi Guys,
I am restoring a 1977 Triumph Stag here in Australia and have been chasing the little rubber hose that goes between the Anti-Run valve and the bottom of the Carbo Canister which is no longer available from suppliers anymore. This hose only appeared on American and Australian delivered vehicles which were saddled with the Emission Control equipment. If anyone can help with one it would be greatly appreciated if you could contact me regarding purchasing the item. The original part number is 159815. Photo for reference.

Hi Marco. I'm in USA. anything emission related will be second hand . u are better off buying a generic hose and using that. any NOS hoses will be likely be somewhat brittle

      Hi Sujitroy,
Unfortunately the hose has a different size at both ends and I cannot find any that have such a tight bend and different size endings, otherwise YES! I would use a generic hose. Hoping someone is breaking a US model where these were fitted or an Australian one but so far no luck!!

I have a 71 and ran into similar issues. I went to a local auto shop and bought pcv emission elbows for a Chrysler. I'm sure u find something. regarding different size openings on hoses. I found a few metal reducers off EBay and joined the hoses. I was not able to find a reducer for the cam cover 1/2" to carbon canister 7/16". I just used a hose clip and clamped it down more

Do you have a picture of the hose and the sizes needed?

I dumped mine.. you may want to investigate just what the valve does, its mainly about relieving pressure on the fuel reservoir to stop it running on. it only actuates for a split second.

my 71 does not have that anti run on valve so can't help you there. but for the other hoses I used the method above

Keep in mind that the valve is powered when the ignition is off, it’s been known to burn out and or flatten the battery on a stored car.... maybe disconnect it if you are storing the car?

I was digging around the attic looking for my run-on Valve to see what size it was, failed but did turn up one from a TR6.

Its the same both ends but the ends are flared out and the middle is a few mm tighter. could you use one of these? Its got some nice sharp bends in it!

Me again.. can you tell I’m bored?

Another solution would be to find the right shaped hose that fits the larger end and put something like a vacuum cap with its end cut off over the smaller end this making the smaller fitting large enough to hold the hose..

I have basically done this on my 1-1/4” radiator fitting to Mate them to 1-1/2” hoses, no problems, and your hose has no pressure on it at all, it’s just an air inlet..
