Martin you need a recon master cylinder not a servo for the problem you describe.

        Oh,
thank you so much, lots of oil on the floor, but defo not from pipes looks as if dripping from the hole in the classis , i will look for a master cylinder first, have a nice Easter, as i will be going out in my boring car this weekend, we are off to Skeggy

but also when I put my fingers at the bottom of the servo it was damp with oil, also would it leak oil if the seals have gone in the master cylinder ??

The oil is brake fluid from the MC, there is no oil in a servo (usually) . The servo will probably work fine after the brake fluid has drained out

Sorry, yes that is what I meant fluid, so it would leak fluid if the problem was the master cylinder

Yes, absolutely spot on. Peter at LD parts used to sell stainless sleeved refurbished MC which should be a fit and forget. You can take the servo apart to clean it out but watch some videos first, the spring is a bit brutal.

thank you. but that is for a clutch. Is it easy to fit a refurbish kit to the brake master cylinder??

Dd'oh sorry - worth giving Peter a call, I don't think the seal kit is an easy job and if your MC bore is pitted it won't work for long
