    Arry The Stag!

Afternoon! In this video, Tony Armstrong introduces himself and talks about his quest to rebuild a 1973 Triumph Stag - starting from a complete car he bought, through to the dismantling of it and the progress of rebuilding it.

Alongside his able Step-Son Harry (Thus 'Arry The Stag!), they are documenting the Triumph Stag (UNY 49M) rebuild process from scratch, having broken the car right down to bare metal; nuts and bolts and then putting the whole thing back together again.

At least that's the cunning plan!

Tony is motivated to share his experiences of the rebuild; share top tips discovered along the way; the highs and the lows and also to take feedback from Stag (and other classic car) owners worldwide.

Hi Tony & Harry, welcome to the Club and forum. I enjoy watching your journey and look forward to seeing the rebuild as it progresses , you will find lots of info on the forum using the search facility, and there are some very knowledgeable people here as well. We have made some very good friends while we have been members of the club, some of which even baby sat us on an 8 day trip to France in our stag, our first foreign holiday. we also find lots of support at our area N&N,s (Norfolk) . hope all goes well

Hi Martin and Monica - sorry for delay in replying, still working out how to use the Forum! Many thanks for your supportive comments, very much appreciated! Definitely fancy France in a Stag (when ours in back on the road) - we went to Cannes a couple of weeks ago for a short break (did a video on it too on arrythestag.com) and with all the 'nobby' cars down there (usual Mercs Ferraris Porsches etc) the Stag would have out classed the whole bally lot of them I think!!!

Another trip down to see Alan The Welder and progress with UNY 49M’s body shell. They then check out the reality of the Triumph Stag rebuild and enjoy Alan’s update!

                          Hi Mike
                          ,
He was so enthusiastic as you can see from his 7 or so threads then the National talking to management and others, then nothing seems very strange . which as you have said is a shame. as the club needs very enthusiastic people. He could have learnt a lot from the forum members and saved himself a lot of money and grief.

I know it's his journey but we all need help at sometime, just a few minutes asking questions and reading all the threads and technical stuff on this forum, it's a help to all that take the time to look before going spending there hard earned cash.

                            Cheers
