Anyone know the best places to purchase A car cover, not a full one but the type that just covers the open area i.e. that's exposed when the top is down Malcolm
Mk 2 TV8 BW35 Pimento red 1975.
AC Cobra AK427 5700cc 375hp 2011.
However a word of warning ! Someone fitted something like this to my car at some stage in the past. I never gotthe tonneau cover, but I do have all the b****y clips and catches pop riveted all over the car
The four along the top of the dash I can live with, but the eight along the tops of the rear wings and rear deck really do spoil the look of the car I reckon. I worry about rust underneath and you can't just take them off as that would leave the rivet holes exposed.
If you're still thinking of going ahead then, if you want, you're welcome to take a look at my car first. PM or email me if you like so we can meet up and you can see just what it's like.

I'm not sure if Julian has already answered your question, but you may have been thinking of a 'storm cover', these just cover the open area. In the past I have bought these from the TSSC club shop, although I think there is now a new style, I think they are around £40-50.
Another lower cost option would be a frost-cover from Argos/halfords etc.
