    Green stuff brake pads

I was wondering if those of you have fitted 'green stuff' feel the extra cost has been worth while.

No noticeable difference in braking ability, and no reduction in dust. So, in my case, not worth the cost, despite the hype. No doubt others will tell you different.

I am using GreenStuff pads on my car, in my case there is a little less brake dust, i didn't notice any dramatic improvement in the brakes during my daily driving - but the MOT brake test did show a slight increase from the year prior to fitting them.

Personally i don't think the price difference is worth it -the next set i use will be Unipart - I have a set sitting on the garage shelf

Hi, I found noticeably less dust, and better braking, sorry guys, speak as I find. Martin.

I have two cars with wire wheels and they are a bu**er to clean. Unfortunately only one has Green Stuff pads and that's the one whose wire wheels remain relatively free of dust. So the reduction in dust is worth it for me. Can't comment about braking difference because the cars are different.

Less dust, and around 10% improvement in stopping power when they are bedded in. Bit disappointed really.

They do come with a "bedding in" layer that speeds things up a lot. Martin.

Hi all in reality we would would want a100/% breaking efficiency But to put green stuff red stuff and even yellow stuff inn perspective they are all based on dissipation ofheat transfer. they are matched to what is on the car Standard Stags do not need this they perform quite ok for the mot even though the OLDEST stag is now 32 years old regards Tony.

What an interesting discussion. I don't really have a problem with standard pads but perhaps I am not so demanding on my brakes as some of you younger guys! At the moment my pads are not half worn so I don't have to make a decision just yet.

By the way Tony (last poster) I believe the oldest Stags are now about 42 years old.

They keep the wheels cleaner, that's enough for me.

Ive got geen pads with drilled and grooved discs, much improved breaking in my opinion and less dust.

Tony, the oldest Stag is now 40, not 32. ! Martin.
