I hope the car is OK and the leak is something simple to repair Bob.

Thanks Steve, yes we got home safely but the car is still not right, it'll cruise Ok on part throttle but doesn't like idling for too long or full throttle either.

I'll need to go back to basics and check things like the timing and change cheap things like the dizzy cap and rotor arm before looking deeper.

A big thank you to Sukh for dismantling your car to lend me a coil, at one point I had at least 3 spare coils in front of me!

And thanks to Jason and Michelle for you company, hope you enjoy the rest of your time down sowf.

Although I wasn't there, I would like to thank all of you for helping out my dad who was there on my behalf! He was a little annoyed with me because I didn't tell him he could have come in his old XK8 and got in for less!!

I visited on Saturday when the weather wasn't the greatest.

Not a huge amount of cars there but it was interesting for me to have a look at a few Stags in the flesh. I enjoyed watching Bob's and two or three others on the rolling road.

The ones I saw were all making close to 130bhp which is good considering the age. I assume the engines have been rebuilt to achieve that?

Of all the cars I saw I liked the French Blue one that went onto the r/r after Bobs.

Wish I could have made it today but family committments and all that

I blame that stereo system you have in there, taking way too much powersounds like it won't be too hard to put right and you did get to save a large chunk of fuel
