I would like to get a decent alarm and immobiliser fitted to the stag but am a bit out of touch with current trends. Can anyone recommend a good one or good make of alarm with approx. costs.
I Have Cobra Cat 1 Alarm immobiliser with microwave sensor for open top cars, had this 6 years + with out any problems. it was fitted professionally which I would recommend. cant remember the cost now.
do think if professional scumbags want it, they will take it with or withoutAlarm.
mine has a 'meta' thatchem alarm and immobilizer. its wont let the fuel pump work or the coil (i believe) until the little tag has been put in the slot.
been on my stag for over 15 years now, my uncle had it put on after the car was stolen. and the insurance requested he had it fitted....it also has a trembler switch to stop people jacking it up and taking it that way.
as far as i know no one has ever had a problem with it
Thanks for the replies, seems the cobra 4138 with microwave unit is the one most ofthe shops I have spoken to today have recommended with supply and fit ranging from £300 - £400. Lot of money for a little bit of extra peace of mind but I think we will use the car more if I get one fitted.
