Window failure

Has anyone had to replace the plastic roller that runs in the channel at the bottom of the door windows? It is part number ZKC2760 and sits on a spigot which is rivetted to the lifting arm. Both spigot and roller are available but they look like a difficult job to replace.
Secondly, the car is an early Mk 2 (Jan 73) and the manual says the window channels are removed by drilling out two rivets. My channels appear to be held in by 3 bolts and the quarterlight mechanism, I can't see any rivets, am I correct?

It's a shame the job can't be done without removing the frame. I think the rivets referred to are those that fixed bits of trim, other wise known as finishers, that tidied up each end of the top of the Mk1's door trim panel. I'm guessing, see my 'QUICK' post, because I haven't found them on my Mk2 either.
You are sort of right, the frame is held in place by screws adjacent to the quarter light gearbox and through hole in the end of the door above the locking mechanism, there are also nuts at the bottom of each frame upright, the studs of each pass through brackets fixed by further screws to the inner skin at low level. The brackets have to be removed. You'll also have to remove the inner seal strip along the inner top edge, the outer seal should stay in place. Otherwise its as per the book, only harder, especially the return journey when trying to engage the roller back into the track. I found that with the lifting mechanism completely loose, supporting the drive motor with one hand, I had to electrically drive the lifting mechanism to just the right spot, with my wife holding the glass at just the right level, before I could engage the roller.
Oh what fun. Be careful it's quite a guillotine.
