    Dog leg fly stick

    Gents,
    Trial fitted my hood frame this evening and found an anomaly.
    I noticed that the dog leg at each end of the fly stick hoop, the loose one, was bent at different angles.
    Topics previously listed bent frames, but I think the bends where about the thin section, these are differing bends about the thick, and I don't think its been bent by misuse! I'm assuming the frame is supposed to be symmetrical but I'm probably wrong. What is the correct angle, if any are correct? Attached sketch may clarify.

    Clever of you to measure the angles ! Could it be one Mk1 and one Mk 2 ? VMad where are you ?

      Yes Martin, I thought it would be right up his street! Profile traced, then scanned, then pasted into a cad program and the angles measured, however as a like minded draughtsman who only thinks in whole numbers,the angles are most likely to be either 20 or 30 deg.

      VMad, the correct angle for a Mk2 please!

          There's only one part no in the parts catalogue so don't think it's a Mk1 v Mk2 difference.

          I'll see if I can find a protractor

                Thanks again, I'm being a pain I know, just to be sure, could you compare the other side as well? Maybe they're supposed to be different, although I can't think why.
                It can wait till tomorrow morning now though .

                  Nick,

                  My offside angle was only 18 ish, near side was 30 ish. Based on 2 - 30 degs against 1 - 18 deg the 30's have it.

                  Offside frame anglebent to suit. Hopefully the correct result!

                    Just checked the near side. Same as off side so symmetrical on my Stag
