Correct Size Tyres 185/R14 - H

Hi there, I am a recent member and thought Iā€™d have a go on the forum!!



After some extensive research (as alot of modern tyres this size are for commercial / van applications) I have finally found and fitted a set of the proper size tyres 185/R14 (H speed rating ā€“ upto 130mph).



They are made by Nankang who manufacture Japanese performance tyres upto 20ā€¯ tyres. They are excellent tyres and have a nice tread pattern and fill the arches nicely due to being the correct profile. They were very reasonable costing me less than Ā£36 per tyre delivered!!

Just enter the size and up come the Nangkangs, price currently Ā£36.20, but it tends to vary almost by the hour!

These are 185 x 80 14's compared to the 185 x 14 without a profile.

I know quite a few people now that have these fitted and they are very good in the dry and wet. I have driven a Stag with them on in the wet and they hold.

They are just cheap due to the name but if you look at their website, its quite impressive and they specialise in higher performance tyres compared to ours

Iwould go with the vredestiens on the same site for 60 odd Ā£

tyres make or break the enjoyment you get from your car all round, and you really get what you pay for. its not a lot looking at the mileages we do in the stags .
