Picked my Stag up tonight

I picked my Stag up tonight from Stuart in Stafford. A cracking guy whos looked after the car so well

Shes a beautiful car and I will put pics up tomorrow

I;d never driven one before and it was shock to drive her initially, not least because the pedals are in a bizarre place and my size 11's made them difficult to use at first. I soon got used to it

Also who put the gear lever so close to your legs!!! ha again I got used to it along with other quirks the car has

I drove about 80 miles home on a roads and loved every minute of it. I'm so looking forward to the ownership experience of an old car and fingers crossed it will remain as trouble free as possible

I was only looking for about 3 weeks seriously, although I;d always wanted one!!

I saw 3 in total each one better than the last . Being impulsive I could have bougt each in turn but when I saw the one I bought I knew that was the right one

I have had mine few weeks now, always puts a smile on my face, even when I have just bruised a knuckle trying to fit an exhaust manifold

Classic cars with so much charm and good looks are few and far between! But then I am now biased!

Once i met Simon i knew he was the one the her, it's nice to know that she's going to be looked after and treated well

well two months later I've done just over 2000 miles asa daily driver

she has never broken down and so far just a couple of issues to iron out such as coolant and oil leaks

it keeps up with modern traffic and is easy to drive just wish I had a garage to keep her dry in at night!!

Shes a thirsty girl though a full tank of £65 lasts about a week and 210 miles!!!

Come on mate, I'm sure you don't really mean that, economy is not the Stag's strong suit , I'm sure you wouldn't rather run a Clio diesel. As for a garage, get a hurricane proof outdoor car cover, and one of those bag de- humidifiers, you'll be fine. Martin.

I;m not sure Bruce.... seriously I love her some days and want to keep other days I wish I had something more modern!

I;ll definately have her through the spring andwe;ll go from there

Martin I;ve had thirstier cars than her in past but they went twice as fast I don;t smoke or drink much so petrol is my vice
