    choke advice?

Sorry for bombarding with questions. I'm a stag novice

When I start her and she needs choke I just pull it out pressing accelerator at same time? Once running ok push choke back in? Is that right?

Can you use a choke too much and do any damage?

    Hi Simon,

No problem. You have a lot of catching up to do..........

You are correct to depress the accelerator whilst pulling out the choke. It relieves pressure on the cable by raising the tickover screw away from the choke cam on the LH carb. A bit of grease on this cam doesn't go amiss.

I have always pulled the choke out fully, fired the car with no accelerator, and immediately it starts push the choke in to about 1/2". Run it there until you are happy it will continue to run if you stop. In my case, inthe summer this equates to the end of the (short) road. In winter until Ihave clearedthe traffic lights at Sainsbury's (1 mile).
