Will LHD parcel shelf fit a RHD Stag ?

I'm planning to replace our door cards with non-butchered originals, which is a shame as apart from the speaker holes they're mint.

For the N/S I've put the new speakers in a pod on the parcel shelf and a tweeter behind the original radio grill. Really discrete and still sounds good but I do need the volume a little higher to overcome the speaker location.

I'd like to do similar for the O/S but not sure whether a LHD shelf will fit here, otherwise I might need to fabricate a hanging bracket for the speaker pod.

Has anybody fitted a LHD parcel shelf to their RHD Stag ? If so did it require any mods to the shelfandhowdid youprovide for the front bar with chrome strip ?

    Thanks

    Good question.
I've bought a second hand RHD parcel shelf for the crash pad and chrome strip with the intention of buying a new cardboard LHD parcel shelf less crash pad...which you can buy new.
However i'm not 100% sure the RHD crash pad and chrome strip will fit the LHD parcel shelf....

Nice idea about the RHD crash pad - if it fits Can't see why not if it's reversible

BTW : I was once told that the RHD parcel shelf from the Triumph saloon/estate fits the Stag

Take a look at Steve Buxton's car in March 2010 Triumph World, he has a shelf on RHS,

I was talking to an owner at a local show and he had fitted a 2000/2500 parcel shalf to the drivers side. He said that it was easy to fit as the mounting points all lined up with the ones in the stag. Looked like it fitted perfectly.

He had also fitted the passenger side one from a 2000/2500 which he said fitted straight in and was much larger than the stag one as it doesn't have the cut out which I think is to accomodate aircon. I think he also said it had a flap in th back to access the relay board.

That does look good too, thanks for all the help on this matter, also I hadn't realised the standard item wastes space for the aircon option.

                I'm assuming nobody's remanufacturing the Triumph 2000/2500 shelves ?

trying to find deccent 2000/2500 shelves is really hard as they are all falling apart.

this is defo an item that could do with being reproduced imo
