I just noticed tonight that there is a hiss coming from the rear right hand side of the car if I push the suspension down hard and release it. It does not occur on any other side of the car.
make sure you support body on axle stands at rear and thenjack uprear swinging arm to maintain the tension on the roadspring before you unbolt the shock absorber ,likewise when reinstalling

...or unbolt the bottom of the shock absorber before jacking the car up. (I think that is how I did it!
Did not see anything amiss and the schock absorbers were replaced 5 yearsa ago with standard rimmer parts so I would hope not an issue there but you never know.
Maybe I change them again in the winter. Add it to the jobs list.
And by the way you wait till Carl Fuss gets wind of your avatar!.....he boll**ked me about mine requesting I remove it as "it is a car club"
SSSSSSsssssssssss
My dampers make a sort of hiss when I go over speed ramps (slowly!). They have done it since I've had the car so I thought it must be normal. Maybe I've been carrying a snake around in the boot!!
