Interesting stuff, quite possible now according to this DIYBMW conversion , but lifting the bonnet to see this is no quite right!

If so, it would mean accurately reproducing the burble somehow electronically :shock:

Plus it would have to have some key components prone to repeat failure

Otherwise where would all our fun be

But if then it had a volume control on the burble which went up to 11 (ie. 1 louder than 10) maybe . . .

BTW : Having had a ride in the Tesla (US electric powered Elise 'clone'), whilst it was fast and fun it was also just a dead weird silent experience

unfortunately one day we will all have to get our heads around this idea, fossil fuel is not going to be around for ever, Saudi Arabia only has less than 5 years supply left.

Apparently the next big oil rush is supposed to be in Dorset! The biggest onshore find in Europe for ages. Just a small matter of the find being in a SSSI. (IIRC)
