Overdrive A type or J type??

Morning all....

Someone was kind enough to send me a workshop operations manual, and when looking at the instructions about the return valve, and the gromit in the car and magnet to withdraw it, we can't find the valve. This is leading me to think that the overdrive unit I have on my early 1973 Stag isnt the same as the one in the workshop manual.

Where is the return valve on an A type and J type O/D unit? Does any one have the 2 workshop manuals in PDF that cover both?
