:dude:hi guys, i have looking to buy a new number plate for my stag, can you put a {s} plate on a {m} car, i belived you can,t because of trying to make the car look newer, but it would still have the log book to prove its age, and does it really matter on a old car ??. paul

I found STA 6 R on one of the number plate dealers websites, and as mine is on a R plate would be no problem to transfer - well I say no problem until I saw the price asked-then I couldsee5995 problems.......
I love my Stag, but I can think of so many better things to spend £6K on - 4 speed auto conversion, BMW back end, to name just a couple.....
How many Stag owners are going to be that desperate to have such a reg number....

If I had £6K burning a hole in my stag fund, I'd buy another stag

You should register your cars "Down Under" in Queensland we can have any combination of 2 numbers and 3 letters for AUD 360. Needless to say all the good Stag ones are gone, therefore mine is "77 TRS".
My mate bought " 77 STAG" for AUD 3000! I did a chassis number check and his car is actually late 76! I didn't have the heart to tell him!
regards,
Raoul
