6.3litre V8, unfortunately not in a Stag

My "Children" bought me an AMG experience at Mercedes World. I had an hour in a C63 saloon. What an amazing engine and 7 speed auto, very docile until booted, wonderful roar up to red line at 7k. Incredibly smooth changes with a blip of the throttle as it changes down. I don't think I would have a licence for long if I drove it on the road though. An experience never to be forgotton.

My children ( and a boyfriend ) bought me a day out at Diggerland! Great fun tho, you get to play on real JCBs of all types all day long

I drive some small machines for work occasionally ,the novelty wears off when you have a street full of disgruntled residents after knocking out the whole streets power for 9 hours

I worked on a construction site in London once. We had to ensure we didn't excavate too close to the electric cable, which we didn't. Next job was to erect the safety barrier around the hole. An excavator then duly pushed a scaffold pole into the ground, straight through the cable. The adjacent hotel wasn't happy:shock:

Sounds like great fun, do they let you have a good play in it?

They are cracking engines each one hand built, I have had two E55 AMG'sand did 50K miles in the last one in two years and never tired of the thrust or the sound, and managed to average 22mpg! Sold it before I went to jail :shock:They are definately a fun way to give up your licence! I once turned off the traction control (out of curiosity)and booted it...it just sat there smoking it's very expensive tyres...didn't do that again

The brooklands experience looks very good, I'll send the web site to my Mrs and suggest an early Xmas pressie I should be so lucky:XSocks as usual I guess!

You have an instructor with you with his brake pedal!! I had an hour, split into skid pan drifting, demo of ESP on and off on wet surface but most of time lapping the handling circuit. The only time the ESP was off was on the wet bits, so plenty of slow speed spins. Not cheap but as DJT said, the memory stays long after the cost has been forgotton, or something like that. That noise!!!!
