Auto Transmission Fluid

Hi just fitted the new cooler for the transmission. So the Stag is back on the road , but I need to top up the tranny fluid as I lost what was in the pipes and the cooler during the change.

Whats best to use and where can I get if from local to me, I guess Halfords only stock the normal dexron stuff? and are as always expensive selling it by the milli-litre

Any pointers appreciated

I can get to Tamworth Leicester BurtonDerby if anyone knows of any decent motor factors local cheers

Find someone local who sells Comma AQF, about £15 for 5 litres, you could drain and refil, wouldn't do any harm.

Is that stuff ok on the label it says meets dextron III? Or am I looking at the wrong stuff?

If so is five litres enough then Ian I haven't checked th book?

Assume its just a case of taking the plug out draining and refilling is there anything I should be aware of?

Halfords want £23 for it, sadly most local motor factors seem to have closed down these days, and I didn't want to order it by post as I want to use the car this weekend

Just found somewhere that stocks the right one... I checked and it does say OK for BW boxes...Thanks Ian

Might just top it up for now and change later as they only stock it in 500ml bottles

I think your getting confussed with Comma AQM you need to get AQF suitable for B/W and ford C3 Boxes.
