try checking all the grommet are there on the bulkhead - mine had a round hole of about an inch of so under the fuse box which i plugged with a grommet.
Hi Dave, it's likely to be the door seal or the separate "A" post seal. If it's the door seal, rain drains off the back of the front wing and runs down into the door shut, if the seal's old/hard/worn, it just runs past it into the footwell, check if the carpet is wet on the inside of the sill. It could also be the windscreen seal. Remove the glovebox and feel around the panel below it. Good luck, Martin.
Hi, Behind the door trim panel should be a plastic sealing sheet that seals the inside of the door from the door trim card, they are often missing or not stuck down after work on the door internals. Martin.
Somebody put me right, but I thought the Stag didn't have a door card gasket ? I've certainly never seen one, I thought they just had the so-called curtain ? I have a part roll of the sticky backed foam for making a pair, just not got round to it yet, perhaps I should bung it up the priority list. :? Martin.
I didn't read whether the leak is when the car's stationary or moving? I doubt that much water would make it through the door curtain - the door panel backing would be warped and water in the door cavity should stay outside the door seal rubber. If it only leaks when moving it could be driven in through a hole in the floor or wheel well.
Regards
Nick
The other place to try is the windscreen wiper posts, the little rubber seals go hard and leak, i currently have one that drips right onto my foot. I thought i was having a senior moment.
