scary scary hardtop moment

put hard top on as i am getting refurb of frame and hood.
fitted no problem took car for drive with the misses all good.
however it was slightly breezy(weather wise) doing 50-60ish when front of hard top lifted about 20mm and i thought it was going in that instant.
my question to all is, mine has two fixings on rear passenger windows one each as i assume all are same,no fixing on header rail is this correct?
has is happened anyone else and can it be remedied ?
i was squeaky bum time believe me as a car was sat on me tail who knows if i was going just that bit faster any ideas greatly apperiacted.

The hard top fixes to the header rail in the same way as the soft top. Sounds like your hard top is missing the fixings, or the catches beneath the chrome windscreen capping are missing.

looked at the hard top at time as i have never had it on the car,
thought it was strange at time but not much more thought about it.
the catches must be missing of hard top or do you change from frame

The hard top should have its own fixings.

as Dave says the hard top has it's own front catches (different from the solfy top catches, and also has the rear centre spring catch, so five catches in total, these catches along with the weight of an elephant should keep it in place

cheers lads my hard top has only got the two side handles as it came on the car for shipping to ireland took it off the next day and never looked at it since.
just put it on to send frame off, i put the two handles from frame on it now will this hold?
does not have rear spring either!
need to use car as my other transport is off the road for a while that was plan anway.
