Instrument panel lights

Hey guys , While on holiday I removed my instrument panel ( speedo rev counter etc) because clock was dickey , sorted clock and put panel back , now none of the instruments night lights are working , have had a little look back inside panel and all looks good , tried the rheostat and the fuses on the main fuse board ,???

any ideas ??

Was the holiday a bit boring?...mind you I've done an oil change on holiday before today.

I know you said you'd checked fuses but do both your side lights/number plate light work as one side of the car will be on the same circuit.

The next thing I would do is actually bypass the rheostat in case that's at fault

Failing that check that the lights don't go to a common earth connection and that's dodgy
