The brake light on my dashboard comes on when I start the car, however recently it's staying on all the time.
Why would it do this? and what do I need to do to stop it?
my brake warning lightdoesn't come on with the ignition I know it works though as recently rebuilt the brake system and tested the PDWA. Any idea about troubleshooting that?
The brake warning light shouldcomre on when you turn on the ignition. Itwill also stay on if oil pressure is low or the oilpressure switch is faulty.
Is the oil warning light working properly, ie coming on with the ignition and going out when you start the engine?
Pete
Pete I forgot about this! It will be on very dim though?:?
In my experience it can shine brightly if you lose all oil pressure. If it is low oil pressure at idle for instance then i think you are correct and it will just be dim.
