roof lining

Xj6 1997 vintage and all the windows down and 'ahem' a little over the speed limit a happy cocktail do not make

all of a sudden my roof linings around where my ears should be......doh!

£495 plus the dreaded and fitting of £200 means the stanly knife came out and i am down to the fibre board the lining de laminated from....

Hiya, a common prob with all XJs. The quick fix is adhesive injected through the lining, but I guess you've passed that point? It can be a DIY fix, but you now need a new lining so you might as well let an expert do it - sorry ! Martin.

the felt is foam backed so when you stick it the foam just gives and it drops down again, i then tried double sided tape and same thing happened ..

i could buy a second hand one but whats the point same thing will probably happen again!
