    Stag Engine Reliability

    To all potential stag owners:

I just completed a long weekend with a couple of Stag friends, and we covered about 1600 total stag miles in two cars (800 each). Both cars have original TV8 engines, and I should add thatthe engines were worked reallyhard!

During the trip, neither of the cars put a foot wrong, and both of them performed very well. The stag is such an addicitve car

Totally agree, when I bought mine, I picked it up from London and drove it all the way up to Glasgow only stopping for fuel for both me and the car.

800 miles 'peanuts'. I dit 2700 miles when I went to France this summer towing a fold up caravan. Temperatures were fairly high 45degrees in Le Mans. Unfortunately the 2 part pulley fell apart soon after entering Scotland so we did the last 75 miles courtesy of 'a man who can'. I think that a gravel chip got in between the pulley & the belt. Not bad with a standard engine with no fan.
